Executive Admin/Office Manager

Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance (MDAA) is a non-profit organization, located in Old Town Alexandria, VA, with the mission to make the nation and the world safer by public support for the development and deployment of missile defense.

 

MDDA is looking for an Executive Admin/Office Manager that will become an integral player in the continuation of MDAA?s impressive growth to date.  This is an outstanding opportunity for an entrepreneurial manager who is capable of focusing on the day-to-day direction of a highly skilled staff; interacting at all levels with demanding clientele, and driving continued growth.

 

MDAA is a rapidly growing, lean organization and is seeking a highly detailed individual to handle overall day to day office management. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who can multi-task and work independently. The position offers the opportunity for significant growth and reports directly to the President.

 

Responsibilities:

MDAA is looking for a versatile individual for this important position that offers variety and challenge. The ideal candidate must have well-rounded office management skills including excellent human relations skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. The ideal candidate will have at least 4-5 years of recent experience in an office support role in a professional/corporate environment as well as supervisory experience. Duties include management support consisting of personnel administration, overseeing day-to-day office operations, administration policies and procedures, coordination of work flow among office support staff, and overseeing the office appearance as well as the maintenance of equipment, furniture, and the building.

 

Job Requirements:
? Bachelors Degree

? 4-5 years of office/administrative experience

? 3+ years office experience ideally with a non-profit membership based company

? Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point, and Project).

? Must be proficient at database management, policies and procedures creation, billing, budgeting, and vendor relationships.

? Must be familiar with various accounting software platforms

? Prior supervisory experience
? Demonstrated delegation skills
? Excellent written and oral communication skills
? Strong organization and interpersonal skills
? Ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and personalities at all levels
? Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
? Must be detail oriented and self motivated
? Must have a "can-do" attitude
