Executive Office Assistant
The Executive Office Manager is responsible for performing high-level administrative duties required to support the Chief Executive Officer and the general operations of the Executive Office as well as coordinating the activities of the Board of Trusteesm maintaining appointment calendars, preparing draft correspondence, and presentation materials for review, researching information and working closely with senior leadership and others coming in contact with the CEO. The Executive Office Manager coordinates a variety of independent projects and assignments and pro-actively responds to a wide variety of issues in an effective manner in support of the Executive Office. Provides oversight to Corporate Assistants to ensure a smooth flow of administrative work within the Department and provides back up support to other senior leaders as necessary. Performs all assignments with a high degree of confidentiality.
Successful candidates will posess an Associates degree, with a Bachelor?s degree preferred as well as five to seven years of progressively responsible administrative work experience. Candidates must have prior experience supporting a CEO or senior executive in a large organizational setting as well as possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to maintain professional courtesy in dealing with senior leadership, vendors, clients, the general public or other individuals coming into contact with the CEO abd posess the ability to communicate effectively with members of senior leadership, management staff and others to address various needs including scheduling conflicts and confidential issues or communications. Must be able to handle confidential material or information in a sensitive manner. Must be a self-starter, with the ability to handle a multitude of conflicting priorities and projects calmly and efficiently. The ability to work well independently and as part of a team to ensure the smooth coordination of support functions in the Executive Office is required. Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite is essential.
