Front Desk RECEPTIONIST needed in North St. Petersburg starting at $10-$11.00/hr!!!!!
A leading manufacturing company located in North St. Petersburg is seeking an experienced and professional front desk receptionist. This company is one of the world?s largest manufacturers of heating and cooling pumps for pools and spas. This location is undergoing a huge expansion and is currently looking to fill up to 50 new production/assembly positions in able to meet their production needs. This company is in need of an experienced Receptionist that is hardworking, can multi-task, and is able to present themselves in a very professional manner. Your main duties will include operating a PBX or multi-line telephone/switchboard system where you will be answering/transferring calls to the appropriate parties. Just as importantly you will act as the "Director of First Impressions" for all front office visitors by greeting them in a professional and courteous manner.
This is a full time temp-perm position working 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. This position is starting out paying anywhere from $10-$11.00/hr. Typically after 4 months of employment you will be hired on as a permanent employee of the company where at that time you will be eligible for company benefits, the ability to apply for various positions within the company, as well as the possibility for a pay increase.
Here?s a list of some of your principal duties:Coordinates all front door activity Answers incoming telephone calls by the third ring, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department Takes and delivers messages and/or transfer calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel Answers questions about the organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information Welcomes all on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel Monitors visitor access and issues passes and safety glasses when required Updates appointment calendars Maintains various directories in the internal information database Receives, sorts, and routes mail, and maintains and routes publications Creates bimonthly company newsletter "The Heater" Orders gift cards as required Enters planned maintenance payment information into database Sends updates to Team Reward point Distributes staff member?s birthday and anniversary cards via postal mail Performs clerical duties as needed, such as filing, revising documents, etc. Modifies Welcome board in front office with appropriate descriptions Forward ideas for process improvement to the Customer Support Manager
You must meet these qualifications:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum of 6 months experience in an administrative and/or customer service roleProficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos Ability to write simple correspondence Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
