HSE Engineer
Description: Review all incident records. Assist facility personnel in relationships with workers' compensation administrator.
Perform root cause analysis of incidents resulting in restricted duty, job transfer and/or time away from work.
Verify incident statistics as maintained in a database.
Perform reporting functions to all levels of management with regards to incident statistics.
Administrate drug and alcohol testing programs.
Report requested information to customer representative including, but not limited to, incident statistics, HSE policies and procedures, drug and alcohol testing statistics.
Internal consulting on Industrial Hygiene matters including exposure monitoring of chemical and physical agents.
Complete technical reports based on monitoring data.
Develop, implement and perform training programs.
Administer computer-based safety training program.
Write and implement HSE policies and procedures.
Perform analysis of incident data for the identification of trends.
Perform comprehensive HSE audits of facilities.
Assist department and facility personnel in the identification and implementation of corrective actions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred and 3+ years of related experience and/or training. Must have problem solving and project management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to manage people, good organizational skills, excellent math skills and self motivated. Excellent computer skills are required particularly with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Able to maintain confidentiality of related records.
