Health Education Coordinator--Bilingual English-Spanish-#HEC-0606M

Santa Clara Family Health Plan is a public, not-for-profit plan that provides comprehensive, affordable health coverage to low- and moderate-income people in Santa Clara County who otherwise would not be able to obtain health coverage, such as Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, and Healthy Kids, for themselves or their families. We?re looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful, and well organized individual to coordinate the activities of and provide secretarial and administrative support to the Health Education and Cultural & Linguistic Services Department, which designs and delivers programs to the needs of a diverse, multilingual and multicultural membership.
Provide excellent customer service to members and providers inquiring about Health Education programs.Coordinate member Health Education referrals and services and ensure that eligible members are registered for appropriate classes and programs in a timely manner. Generate confirmations of class registrations, reminder letters, and evaluation forms, and follow up on these communications.Provide support at scheduled day, evening and weekend Health Education classes at our San Jose Family Resource Center and other off-site locations. Maintain and update all department files, documents, databases, and log.  Provide department phone coverage and administrative support to the Administrator, Cultural Competence and Health Promotion and to the Manager, Health Education and Cultural & Linguistic Services. 


Requirements:
2+ years? experience in Member Services in managed care and/or health insurance delivery system or 4 years? equivalent experienceFully bilingual English and SpanishIntermediate competency in MS Word, Access, and ExcelValid California Driver LicenseAble to work days and occasional evenings and weekendsOrganize work efficiently; gather and organize data; write standardized reportsProven ability to establish and evaluate priorities; meet critical deadlines; follow up on assignments; handle multiple projects simultaneously
