Human Resource Assistant
SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Under general supervision, perform a variety of duties in support of Human Resource Services. Assist with overall coordination of support functions for employee relations. Maintain and ensure a confidential environment at all times. Review, develop and maintain accurate records and correspondence including assisting employees, maintaining electronic and paper files, producing reports, gathering and organizing documentation, and coordinating schedules.
NECESSARY SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Must be bi-lingual (English & Spanish) Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Collaborative work style skills. Ability to maintain and handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to organize and maintain efficient files and records. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work in stressful situations. Ability to work with a diverse population. The ability to demonstrate a commitment to service orientation, and the application of appropriate flexibility in response to issues and opposing points of view is required. Essential Work Competencies Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without accommodation.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to reason logically and rationally, communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, interact effectively with people in a positive manner. May deal simultaneously with several problems/issues. Must be able to comprehend complex problems and reach reasonable solutions. Able to work under stressful
conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1-2 years of office experience including at least six months of experience in a human resource or related setting or equivalent education/experience. A degree is preferable.
