Human Resources Applications Process Technician Intern/Co-op

BASIC PURPOSE:

The Human Resources Applications Process Technician will be responsible for creating desk top procedure manuals for HRIS application support in a step by step method. Work with supervisors to create this documentation. Also responsible for creating desk top procedures in a step by step method for applications used by Human Resources. Determine the approach for the documentation by interviewing HR to determine if the documentation should be driven based on business process from A to Z or from the "How to" use the application approach.

Assist in company wide system development and roll-out activities such as:

- Testing applications.
- Documentation of requirements for technical specifications.
- Development training and procedure documentation.
- Providing help desk support for HR applications to HR department, supervisors & employees.
- Query development in response to management requests.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Advanced skills in writing

Ability to apply logic to procedure documentation

Proficient in Microsoft Office:
- Word
- Excel
- Access
- Powerpoint

Experience with the following a plus:

- PeopleSoft
- Lotus Notes
- Microsoft Content Management Server
- Webpage development or design
- Fireworks
- Captiva

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

College or graduate student studying Human Resources, information systems, or related field.

Experience working with databases a plus.
