Human Resources Assistant
Human Resources Assistant
Under daily supervision of the Human Resources Manager, provides support and assistance in the areas associated with employment, benefits administration and employee relations.
Essential Functions:Responds to telephone calls, visits and emails from employee, management and other visitors. Handles routine matters on own initiative.Types correspondence, memos, and reports as instructed. This includes verification of employment.Assists with new hire orientation and prepares new hire folders. Ensures that all necessary paperwork has been received and is complete. Updates employee files and maintains an organized filing system.Assists in the administration of the company's benefit program by enrolling the employees, answering benefits related questions and participating in the resolution of problems.Serves as a liaison with the Payroll Department. This includes the accurate and timely processing of documents, communication of process issues to the HR Manager and participates in the resolution of problems.Assists HR Manager with planning and coordinating all company sponsored events. Creates, posts and updates bulletin boards featuring programs and benefits available to employees.Maintains knowledge of company policies, practices, procedures and state/federal employment laws. Transacts business in compliance with established guidelines and applicable law.Contributes to the department's operational excellence and delivers quality service in accordance with applicable procedures, policies, and professional standards.Demonstrates respect and regard for all clients, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a positive, professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:Performs any/all other tasks as requested by the companyPrefer one to three years administrative experience, Human Resources experience preferred.Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skillsMust have word processing experience. Microsoft and Excel preferred.
Education Requirements:
Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
