Information System Analyst III

The candidate will be part of the Integration Test Team.

Expectations of this team are technical results to include, increased productivity, better system and infrastructure quality of service, and reduced cycle implementation time for the SAP R/3 system.

What is done: Automated regression testing, performance monitoring, and load/stress testing

How it is done: Mercury tools are utilized for automated testing, test script management, and performance monitoring

Why: Baseline regression testing reduces error introduction to production systems such as SAP R/3. Software bugs are the number-one cause of application downtime and performance issues. According to the Yankee Group, on average, poor application performance and availability results in a 14% reduction in productivity. Performance monitoring and proactive end-user management reduces costs by reducing the number of support calls and optimizing the provision of infrastructure services. Load testing promotes lifecycle management of application performance.

BS Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience. Requires 5-8 years of relevant application testing experience. Incumbent must be proficient in the following areas: development of test scripts, execution of tests, and defect tracking. The candidate must be capable of troubleshooting software development and testing issues.Technical competencies include: process documentation, testing methodoloty, development of test plans, development of test scripts, knowledge of Mercury test tools to include -- QuickTest Professional (QTP) 8.2 - Expert level or Mercury QTP Certification; Quality Center - extensive experience; LoadRunner, and Business Availability Center (BAC). Programming background is a plus. Knowledge of SAP R/3 is very desirable
