Lead Engineering Data Specialist

Sensus Metering Systems, a leading worldwide provider of water, gas, and electric meters; clamp and coupling products; and Automated Meter Reading (AMR) systems has an immediate opening for a Lead Engineering Data Specialist in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

 

This position will evaluate sales and production change requests for new and existing item numbers and accurate bills of material.  Will process, load, maintain and insure the integrity of the BPCS database and related records for products produced and assembled at numerous Sensus sites. Provides input, support and maintenance of engineering related documents to insure on-time delivery of accurate data to the Customer Service/Order Entry group. Will support all engineering data entry activities with leadership, guidance, organizational skills.  In addition, candidates for this position should possess: 

 

* The ability to communicate externally and internally in both verbal and written form.

* The ability to deal directly with a variety of individuals at all levels and in a harmonious fashion

and under fast paced, critical conditions.

* A team-player mentality supporting company business objectives and goals.

* The ability to analyze data, evaluate problems, then initiate applicable and timely resolutions.

* Attention to detail and data entry accuracy on both keyboard and keypad.

* Ability to create and maintain Excel spread sheets related to product development.

* Ability to perform necessary back-up procedures to protect important file data.

 

Candidates for this position should possess an Associates Degree in Business or a related field and a

minimum of two years of relevant and progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing or

engineering environment. Applicants must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access,

and Outlook. Knowledge of BPCS business systems is a plus.
