Circuit City currently has two opportunities within our Legal Department for experienced Administrative Assistants:
Legal Administrative Assistant, Commercial Legal
In this position, you will provide administrative support to attorneys in our Commercial Legal group by preparing correspondence, managing calendars, handling communication with clients, and maintaining files. Your essential duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Draft and type office memos; schedule appointments and maintain calendars; schedule/coordinate meetings, facilities usage, events, and/or travel arrangements.
Prepare agendas, outgoing mail and correspondence including email and faxes.
Order and maintain supplies and arrange for equipment maintenance.
Research information, compile statistics, and gather various data; prepare reports, summaries or replies to inquiries, receive and place telephone calls. Make photocopies of correspondence, documents, and other printed matter.
Assist attorneys in collecting information such as employment, medical, and other records.
Establish, update and maintain unit files, inventories, and records; implement and maintain data management systems as required.
Legal Administrative Assistant, Real Estate
In this role, you will support the Legal/Real Estate team comprised of three attorneys and two paralegals with responsibilities to include the following:
Prepare and maintain bi-weekly lease status reports, process invoices, and provide administrative assistance on an as-needed basis.
Maintain the legal library and the REC Minute Books (including documenting contingency removal.
Other duties as assigned.
To be successful in one of these roles, you will need to have a minimum of three years of experience providing administrative support to a team (legal experience preferred but not required), and hands-on experience in MS Office. You will also need to possess knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures/terminology. You must also demonstrate additional strengths in the following areas:

Planning and Organizing
