MAIL ROOM CLERK

Simmons Bedding Company, maker of the world famous Beautyrest mattress, is actively recruiting for a Mail Room Clerk at the corporate office located in the Concourse office complex in North Atlanta.

 

DUTIES: The primary functions of this position are to provide first line back-up for the Receptionist and to assist the Mailroom Administrator in providing mail related services to the Concourse staff.Primary back-up switchboard operator and receptionist.Pick-up and sort incoming USPS mail.Timely pick-up and delivery of all mail and packages.Accurate and timely invoice processing and mailing.Prepare and send consolidated mailings to Simmons locations.Maintain inventory of general office supplies.Assist staff members with volume mailings.Maintain fax machines by replacing toner cartridges and placing service calls.

 

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:Mailroom experience to include the use of automated mail processing equipment.Knowledgeable of the various providers of mail and package delivery services.Technical aptitude.Experienced in the use of computer delivery programs.Comfortable working in a team environment.Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with co-workers, customers, and vendors.This job requires some lifting of packages of up to 30 pounds.

 

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:High School Graduate or equivalent.
