Monitors and evaluates the efficient use of corporate resources for all company advertising campaigns by various techniques, such as following bid procedures/guidelines, industry best practices, internal reporting and tracking, or other methods as appropriate. Represents the Purchasing function in other aspects of advertising/marketing activities, such as agency agreements.

1. Oversee efficient usage of production expenditures for all advertising, including general market, regional and multi cultural.
2. Oversee efficient usage of 3rd party photography expenditures for all collateral communications.
3. Evaluate advertising purchasing processes to recommend and assist in implementing industry best practices.
4. Work closely with Marketing clients to ensure all processes are implemented/executed at the agency level.
5. Work closely with clients' cost consultant partners to ensure efficiencies are being found on a project by project basis.
6. Responsible for handling the advertising-related Request for Proposal process.
7. Participates in the development of agency retainer and compensation agreements. This includes resource determination, compensation negotiation, comparison with industry best practices and other contractual matters.
8. Responsibilities also include creating Purchasing sourcing documentation, opening Purchase Orders, etc.
9. Attends various advertising agency meetings as required.
10. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.

Minimum Qualifications:

The following qualification statements reflect the minimum skills and abilities required of the qualified applicant.
1. Job Knowledge and Skill:

??MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE (OEM)???
Knowledge of industry buying practices (i.e. payment structure, etc.) and ability to collect and analyze data information and develop innovative methods.
1. Experience: Ten or more years of comprehensive, professional level experience in advertising production, market research/analysis, financial analysis, strategic marketing/planning.
2. Education: Bachelor?s degree in a related field. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training.
3. Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) and other PC applications (SAP).
4. Travel: Infrequent day or overnight travel.
