Manager - Regional Service

Summary of Responsibilities

 

Manage all administrative aspects of policyholder billing, premium administration, and customer service for a regional block of business. Provide leadership and development for a team of associates while partnering with the field organization to provide service and support to our customers.

 

Principal Responsibilities

 

1. Lead and manage team to provide reliable, consistent and predictable service across the customer service organization.

2. Work with business and IT partners to identify and implement enhancements and efficiencies to improve work flows and processes.

3. Work with regional field organization to ensure that customer service objectives are being met and deficiencies are being addressed in a timely and effective manner.

4. Lead, participate and/or coordinate multifunctional and cross-disciplinary initiatives to facilitate change.

5. Identify opportunities for improvement and work with other Administration/Implementation mangers to initiate change.

6. Provide employee leadership and development to associates within department.

7. Integrate the MetLife philosophies and vision into the daily activities and projects of the organization.

 

Required Competencies

 

1. Strong knowledge of group insurance systems, products and procedures. (4+ years preferred)

2. Demonstrated leadership skills to achieve team/organization objectives.

3. Previous people management experience. (minimum 2 years)

4. Proven change management aptitude.

5. Experience working with business and IT partners in a collaborative effort.

6. Demonstrated ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

7. Analytical and project management skills and experiences.

8. Proven ability to communicate with internal and external customers through verbal and written mediums.
