Marketing/Budget/Project Coordinator

Knowledge Learning Corporation (KLC) operates high-quality early childhood and school-age care and education centers nationwide. Among the KLC family of schools are: Children?s World, KinderCare Learning Centers, Mulberry Child Care & Preschool and Knowledge Beginnings. We are proud to provide a value-added service to families nationwide and encourage community support for children and their families throughout the nearly 2,000 community centers, 650 before- and after-school programs, and 130 employer-sponsored centers located in 39 states and the District of Columbia.
Marketing/Budget/Project Coordinator
The budget coordinator is responsible for managing the marketing budget and supporting the marketing team with key projects and initiatives.
Essential Functions - Responsibilities will be allocated in the following manner:
Budget Management - 50%
Work with marketing team to develop, track and report results of overall marketing budget by period.
Work with marketing project managers, A/P and procurement teams to reconcile purchase orders and invoices against budget and corporate financial system by period.
Work with vendors to ensure timely submission of invoices and address outstanding issues.
Develop process improvements for budgeting as needed.
Marketing Project Support - 30%
Coordinate and assist marketing team with updates to online marketing resource tools.
Support specific project needs as necessary such as center communications, report generation and presentations.
Work with yellow pages vendor to manage monthly buys and creative approvals.
Administrative - 20%
Support Sr. Director of Marketing and Director of Marketing with administrative needs such as scheduling, expense reporting, presentation preparation and travel planning.
Experience and Education:
High school diploma required, Bachelor degree preferred.
Budget management or finance experience preferred.
Minimum of 2 years in a related field.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Enjoys ever-changing and varied responsibilities.
Detail-oriented, energetic and organized.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Team player, self-starter, flexible and adaptable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to be a creative problem solver.
Achieves results by setting goals.
