Marketing Development & Administrative Support Assistant

GENERAL PURPOSE:  Supports business development and marketing efforts; and creates opportunities for the delivery of profitable consulting and investigations business, with clients in the Washington market. Assists the Managing Director by following-up regularly with clients to assess satisfaction with service delivery and to identify additional business opportunities, working for both the Homeland Security and Consulting and Investigations practices. 

 

Primary Functions:



?  Prospects continuously for new clients through a variety of techniques including; cold calling, client penetration and participation in local business and professional organizations; leads from trade shows, advertising, website, and various sources; and follows-up with prospects.

 

?Maintains current list of all clients and prospects and enters information into database specified by the Company.  Develops sales documentation including but not limited to:  spreadsheets, correspondence, sales proposals, presentations, and internal paperwork for new customer proposals.  Prepares and presents creative presentations and supportive documentation for proposals.

 

?Provide market analysis of customers, competitors, and prospective clients.  Assist with the development of sustainable pricing in a highly competitive market.

 

?  Serves as area representative for Consulting & Investigations.  Develops, delivers and/or manages the delivery of professional services, while providing the highest quality of timely and responsive services.

 

? Perform all aspects of the billing function for the office, through our Elite financial system. Ensure the effective handling/timeliness of invoices and expense reports. 

? Manage accounts receivable and collection functions.  Follow up with clients on outstanding invoices and proceed with collection calls, when necessary.

 

 Knowledge:

 

? Bachelors Degree and 3+ years progressively responsible, related experience or equivalent.

?Excellent editing/creative writing communication skills.  Mastery of the English language ? reading, writing, and speaking - is required!  Knowledge of some Spanish helpful.  You will be required to edit and proofread documents.

 

Skills/Abilities:

 

? Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications. 

? Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively.

? Strong customer and results orientation.

? Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.

? Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
