Job Description:

This position is responsible for supporting the skills and knowledge development for Mechanical Maintenance personnel in the classroom and laboratory settings consistent with the CPSES Maintenance and Training department procedures.? The Mechanical Training instructor is required to posses a high degree of technical knowledge regarding nuclear power plant maintenance practices as well as the elements of the Systematic Approach to Training as they apply to the accredited training program.

Internal/External Interfaces:? Expected to interact with various levels of Management, Supervision, and Technicians.? May be requested to represent the station in training program self-assessments at other utilities.

Qualifications:

Knowledge/Experience:
Minimal background and knowledge requirements:

??High School Diploma, GED or equivalent AND
??Six years of Commercial Nuclear Power Plant experience.
??Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred background and knowledge requirements:

??BS, Nuclear Technology, Engineering, OR
??AS in science related field
??Minimum 6 years nuclear power Mechanical related experience.
??Extensive Mechanical Maintenance experience.
??Two years of nuclear training experience.

Necessary Skills ? For this position the following skills and abilities must be demonstrated at a proficient level:

??Strong writing and verbal skills.
??Proficiency in station Mechanical program requirements.
??Competence in computer programs using work processing, database, and presentation software.
??Strong leadership skills coupled with the ability to communicate with a variety of personnel at all levels of the organization.
