Medical Account Representative Bi-Lingual - (EC10736)

The Account Representative, First Party works directly with consumers to secure payment, insurance information or other details regarding medical bills. Individual must build rapport over the telephone and present information in a professional and accurate manner. Incumbent must follow all company and customer work standards and must meet performance criteria to include assigned goals. Duties include taking inbound/placing outbound calls to resolve/diffuse customer concerns/complaints and billing/insurance issues. Incumbent must exercise tact and sound judgment in resolving disputes and obtaining voluntary cooperation. Work is performed within clearly defined areas of regulations and procedures, and is reviewed and monitored by a supervisor or manager.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

FLUENT IN SPANISH - VERBAL AND WRITTEN REQUIRED.

?Demonstrated skill in developing effective relationships with diverse populations
?Prior customer service and/or collection experience in medical or insurance field Hospital Billing Office a Plus.
?Self-directed and motivated to work with minimal supervision
?Excellent communication skills - speaking and listening
?Ability to Multi-task
?Data Entry skill to document in data base


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (To include but not limited to the following)

?Contact consumers and/or take inbound calls from consumers regarding medical accounts.
?Work with consumer to secure payment, insurance, or other payer information to successfully settle accounts.
?Present accurate and complete information clearly and concisely to consumers.
?Document accounts quickly and accurately.
?Build rapport over the telephone.
?Make accurate account adjustments as appropriate.
?Negotiate with consumers to engage in problem solving and obtain proper solutions.
?Utilize established call model to secure information and a definite commitment/method to pay the overdue claim and/or balance in the most expedient manner.
? Identify the extent of the consumer concern and determine best course of action for resolution. Gather full and complete information required.
? Telephone contact may be done from a dialer setting or from the account representative's established route based on assignment from the supervisor/manager.
? Maintain productivity requirements.
? Respond to consumer requests for information.
