We are currently seeking a Medical clerks for office in Philadelphia, PA

This individual would be responsible for scanning pertinent medical records, tracking, receiving and returning claims folders to the regional offices

Responsibiilties include:

Scan an save medical records (identified among service military records) at least 10 days prior to appointment date.
Organize & file Medical Records & claim folders in fireproof cabinets.
Process rush requests by case coordinators & regional offices.
Return claim folders to regional offices no later than 10 days after receipt
Communicate with the Department of Veteran Affairs liaison regarding claim files needed for cases
File records back in an organized and orderly manner
Notify case coordinators regarding the availability of scanned medical records.
Respond to queries from Regional Offices regarding claim folders.
Other projects and duties as assigned







The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

AA/AS or equivalent in related experience
Medical terminology/medical records experience
Computer: Advanced skills needed for scanning medical records.
Medical: Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Organization and multi-tasking: Ability to organize, plan, and coordinate multi-tasks with a high sense of urgency and follow through
Works well with people; team player.
Good communication: written and verbal.
