Medical Records Scanning and Release of Information Representative II - Baltimore, MD

Smart Document Solutions, a complete health data management service provider and the world's largest health document processor, is actively seeking a qualified candidate for a fulltime Medical Records Scanning and Release of Information Representative II to service a new hospital facility in Baltimore, MD.

 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Handles assigned site Assists Assistant Operation's Director with training of Release of Information Specialists Works with priviledged information in a conscientious manner while releasing medical records in an efficient, effective, and accurate manner. Handles customers and clients in a proactive and professional manner Pulls and releases medical information in a fast paced environment Scans medical records at assigned facilities as directed by Assistant Operations Director Special projects and tasks as assigned by the Assistant Operations Director

Desired Minimum Qualifications

 Must have previous experience working in a medical records department/clinic or health related field dealing with medical records and release of information. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Previous ROI experience preferred Previous supervisory experience desired Ability to generate ideas to make existing processes more efficient Excellent customer service skills required

 

Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED Equivalent 2/4 year degree specializing in Health Information, Medical Records Management or Business preferred. Prior experience in a medical office or medical records department
