Medical Records Service Specialist-Orange County, CA

Smart Document Solutions has an IMMEDIATE need for candidates for a Medical Records Service Specialist to cover clinics and hospitals in the Orange County area.

This position requires heavy travel. The hours are primarily daytime with some evening and weekends as needed. A monthly auto allowance is provided for travel.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesHandles multiple sites Assists Operation Director with training of Release of Information Specialists Works with privileged information in a conscientious manner while releasing medical records in an efficient, effective, and accurate manner. Pulls and releases medical information in a high paced manner Provides coverage in the event of backlogs, illness, vacation, or leave of absence Scan medical records at assigned facilities as directed by Operations Director Pulls medical records and faxes correct information to doctor's offices Special projects and tasks as assigned by the Operations Director

Minimum Qualifications Must have strong computer software experience general working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required Previous ROI experience preferred Previous supervisory experience Must be self motivated, a team player High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
