Meeting Planner

The College Board, a national educational membership organization, provides products and services to higher education, schools and school districts, students and their parents. We have an immediate opening for a Meeting Planner for our Waltham, MA office who will be responsible for executing all activities associated with the delivery of workshops, meetings and conferences for our New England Regional constituency.

 

The Meeting Planner oversees and implements customized events for educational professionals according to College Board guidelines and standards.  Key elements of this position?s responsibilities include the following:

 Conducting meeting planning, on-site and post-event activities including needs assessments, budgeting, communications with attendees, contract review and negotiation with vendors, and registration reporting;Developing and publishing a regional workshop calendar;Coordinating and monitoring meeting logistics and administrative details with vendors and suppliers; andEvaluating program events.

 

The Meeting Planner will work collaboratively with regional support staff to ensure timely follow through on details and quality of service.

 

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor?s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and three years of relevant experience in meeting planning or event planning. Meeting Planning Certification preferred.  Project management skills and a strong customer service orientation are required.  We seek candidates who are team players and have superior communications skills.
