Member Services Analyst

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) headquartered in Alexandria, VA is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. The Member Services Analyst supports the Business Manager in preparing and analyzing division data and reports.  Supports the joint billing program through accurate and timely monitoring, analysis, and reporting of the program's process, procedures and protocols.  Makes recommendations for improvements.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Supports the Business Manager by preparing and analyzing division data and reports.

 Monitors the joint billing process within and across departments to ensure compliance with established process, protocol and control points.  Communicates with appropriate managers and staff as needed on alignment.  Based on sound analysis and collaboration, makes recommendations for change.

 Monitors the joint billing "incident log"  to ensure timely resolution of all items; takes appropriate follow-up action. 

 Creates trend reports on types of incidents, resolution rates and timeliness, analyzes the data and makes recommendations on improvements in process where appropriate. 

 Manages the Joint Billing Manual.  Creates and updates overview process documentation and maps.  Ensures that department-level process documentation and mapping are kept up to date.  Responsible for communicating "change alerts".

 As "Gatekeeper" for the Joint Billing Program, provides coordination of all incoming and exiting chapters ensuring chapters meet established program parameters, adherence to prescribed timelines, monitoring communication flow, etc.

 May participate in the creation of initial project proposal documentation - helping identify project objectives, scope, approach and deliverables.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 Bachelors Degree in a business-related field with 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalency of 3 to 5 years of direct experience in business analysis and reporting.

 Previous experience with process mapping and documentation, report analysis, and producing metrics.  Relationship management skills are criticalProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and Powerpoint).Ability to create reports and documents at a level to be presented to senior management Good communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task while working independently. Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment to resolve problems and implement change in a timely manner.Excellent written and verbal presentation ability Must be detail oriented, well organized and have excellent time management skills Knowledge of Data Warehouse, Crystal Reports, Business Objects a plus
