Office Services/Facilities Manager

Manpower Professional is seeking an Office Services/Facilities Manager for a 6 to 12 month contract assignment in Chicago, IL. Candidates should be available for a long term assignment if Chicago, IL. gets the 2014 Olympics. If this position goes long term, there is a strong possibility that this position will go direct after 6 months. Candidates must be flexible for overtime. This individual will manage the committee's office services which may include copy services, word processing, mail distribution services, records retention, office reception, janitorial services, cafeteria staff, recreation services, utility services and communication systems (such as telephones and facsimile transmission systems). This person oversees general administrative staff and coordinates with necessary vendors to meet organizational needs. This individual also selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. This person will establish operational objectives and work plans, and delegate assignments to subordinate managers. This individual is involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect. This person establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements. This individual will manage activities of 2 or more sections or departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervision in terms of cost, methods, and staffing. In some instances this manager may be responsible for managing staff function and may not have subordinate managers. The ideal candidate should posses a Bachelor's degree and have a min. of 5 years of experience in a large corporate or office environment.
