Job Description
The Operations Specialist provides clerical and administrative support to the Manager. This position assists in coordinating all aspects of daily operations, including recording and reporting data. The Operations Specialist also assists in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.
Duties
?Creates, distributes, and closes-out customer tickets on a daily basis.
?Maintains and distributes route books / information on a daily basis.
?Documents routing notes, tags, and other information about drivers and daily route operations.
?Communicates with other supervisors and managers about operations / dispatch issues.
?Completes and maintains a variety of reports as directed by the Route Manager.
?Enters and maintains Service Machine SMART data on a daily basis.
?Uses software tools to manage a variety of tasks, such as procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor.
?Schedules and coordinates driver and helper meetings (e.g., safety, Service Machine).
?Assists with the check-in / checkout of drivers (e.g., route books, keys, DVIRs).
?Assists with data collection and reporting required for incentive pay programs.
?Assists in handling ?haul or call? situations, extra-ordinary pick-ups, or other route assignments.
?Assists with the processing of payments and other financial tasks as necessary.
?Assists in the implementation of operational projects as needed.
?Communicates with customers about service issues as needed.
?Communicates with employees about scheduling and work assignments as needed.
?Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
?High School Diploma or G.E.D.
?Ability to speak, read, and write the primary language utilized in the workplace.
?Proficiency using computer applications to record, analyze, and report information.
?Ability to work 1 ? 2 Saturdays a month from 6am ? 1pm
