Operations Manager
Summary of Responsibilities
Responsible for management of overall office operations and the cultivation of a marketing focus environment. This position is responsible for maintaining a proactive work environment through integrating processes across the agency, improving processes through redesign to make the agency more efficient while maintaining an on target timeline for reaching business objectives. Accountable for making decisions that will affect the business outcome in the agency.
Principal Responsibilities
Work with Managing Director to establish the business plan for the firm (production, persistency, retention, staffing and training).
Work with Managing Director to assist and implement a financial plan for the firm (expense and profitability).
Manage daily workflow and operations both onsite and in hub or satellite locations in order to positively impact the business objectives that have been set for the firm; Establish office procedures.
Act as a back-up principal to provide MSI oversight.
Oversee all compliance systems and processes to ensure all activities and materials are in line with company ethics and compliance standards.
Manage and oversee expenses and profitability.
Manage and support the marketing functions, related activities, and special initiatives to promote conservation and develop new sales opportunities.
Provide management support to achieve the office recruiting objectives; Supervise activities related to recruiting and the appointment process.
Oversee the administrative operation, including the new business process.
Oversee the recognition program
Manage associates- performance - Establish objectives, expected results and development plans for associates; Provide ongoing feedback and conduct performance reviews per the MetLife Performance Management Program.
Promote a positive and professional work environment.

Comfortable as a 'role model/leader' - willingly provides leadership to staff during times of change.
Experienced planner and organizer, capable of completing multiple tasks and meeting established objectives and deadlines
Effectively receives, interprets, and disseminates information verbally and in writing in a manner that is clear and precise and able to be acted upon.
Works effectively with all levels of employees and management to meet Corporate goals
Capable of developing and introducing new ideas to enhance work processes and has the initiative to carry them through.
