Job Description: Real dream job for a Purchasing Clerk with 2-3 years experience for a well known manufacturing company in the Los Angeles area. This job requires independent judgment. Skill in the use of a computer terminal and related manufacturing, database, spreadsheet and word processing software applications packages. Ability to negotiate effectively. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) helpful. Understanding of MRP ordering concepts. Familiar with purchasing terminology. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Self-starter, initiative, sense of urgency. Expedites orders and backorders, ensures that PO has correct pricing and appropriate delivery date. Maintain purchasing files and records.
