Packaging Developer

The Packaging Services business of Cardinal Health is the foremost global supplier of contract services to the health care industry. Founded in 1971, we currently have more than 1.5 million square feet of manufacturing space in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and Puerto Rico, and have the capacity to produce over 250 different products simultaneously in its packaging suites.

Performs all tasks associated with the development, preparation, maintenance and finalization of:
Bills of Material, Item Masters, Routers, Master Packaging Instructions, and Pallet Patterns.
Creates Item Masters in JDE system to facilitate overall ERP process.
Creates, maintains and enters: Master Packaging Instructions using MS Word, and Bills of Material and Routers, in the JD Edwards system.
Initiates and manages MPI Version Control i.e. different revision levels.
Works with Customer Service sub-team to obtain appropriate reviews and approvals of Master Packaging Instructions, Bills of Material and Change Controls.
Designs pallet patterns and initiates approval routing process.
Initiates the BOM, MPI and Change Control approval routing processes.
Copying and or filing all Change Controls, MPIs, BOMs, and routers.

Must possess average verbal and interpersonal communications skills.

Must be well organized and detail and multi-task oriented.
Must possess excellent technical skills.
Must work well under pressure and be able to prioritize workloads.
Must be able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and personalities within and between departments.
Must be computer literate with past experience using MS Office, spreadsheets and ERP systems.
Knowledge and experience in cGMP desirable.

2-4 years planning or project management experience with a minimum of 2 years experience working in an MRP environment with a degree, or
4+ years planning or project management experience with a minimum of 2 years experience working in an MRP environment without a degree
