Part-Time Document Control Specialist

 



Overview: Individual will have the responsibility to review, sort, assemble and maintain company job packets and customer supplied information, consisting of, but not limited to job instructions, quotes, customer p.o.'s, packing slips, technique sheets, customer drawings and documents of certification. Position will work closely with Customer Service, Quality Control and Purchasing departments to obtain or clarify missing/additional information. Individual will be accountable for organizing and storing various internal and external records.Individual must have a keen eye to detail and possess strong organizational skills.

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:

 

Document Control: Sort and assemble job packets to prepare packets for final pricing and storage. Provide support in maintaining records library. Assist with the scanning of customer supplied information to be stored electronically, including, but not limited to blue print drawings and industry standard specifications.

 

Quality Control: Review completed job packets to verify all applicable documents are included and completed accurately in accordance with MIL general procedures and customer specific requirements. Work with various departments to obtain clarification or additional information needed.

 

 Administrative: Assist administrative personnel with additional projects and tasks as needed.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

 

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and basic computing skills

 

Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational, multi-tasking and record keeping skills

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

Part-time hours starting mid-afternoon and ending early evening are preferred with a typical day lasting between 4-5 hours. If necessary, earlier or later hours can be arranged.
