Medical Technologies International, Inc. (MTI), in it?s Palm Desert office, has an opportunity for a Part Time/Flex Hours Receptionist. Individual will act as the Receptionist, as well as assisting with overflow from CEO?s Executive Assistant and other members of Management Team when needed. This position requires a dependable, responsible person with good listening skills. Candidate should have a pleasant phone voice and good communication/interpersonal skills. Position offers room for growth and advancement, if desired.
Company Description
MTI provides the worldwide medical community with patented, FDA-approved, non-invasive diagnostic products and support services to assist with the early detection and monitoring of atherosclerotic vascular disease. This is accomplished by using proprietary ultrasound image processing software and scientific methodology developed at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and the Atherosclerosis Research Unit (ARU) at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC).
MTI?s ArterioVision? procedure has been used for over 15 years in research studies worldwide. Schedule: 20 hours per week - Flexible Hours/Days ? Possible Job Share
General Areas of Responsibility Include:
Reception: Answer incoming calls, retrieve voice mail, and collect mail. Assist with general correspondence, faxes, emails, etc. and distribution of material as requested. Maintenance: Help maintain office equipment (fax, copier, postage meter, printers and supplies inventory) and contracts for same. Provide general housekeeping. Help maintain hospitality items and office supplies.Department Support: Help provide clerical support and assistance with special projects to other departments as needed and as time allows. Help organize & schedule special company events. Document Preparation: Help prepare mailings and packages, occasionally using mail-merge capabilities.Special Projects: Help package materials for Sales Training sessions.Filing/Office Organization: Help maintain filing system and contact database.
Required Skills/Attributes/Education
? Detail-oriented, conscientious, and trustworthy
? Two (2) years experience in a similar role
? Self-motivated, organized and able to work independently
? Must have a strong record of attendance, punctuality, and reliability
? Pleasant, upbeat, and cheerful demeanor
? Professional appearance and manner
? Able to read, write and speak English essential
? Computer literate a plus
? Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
