Part time Office Assistant, providing Customer Service through Data Entry, Phone Support and more

Job Purpose:

Eagle Transport, Inc. is a trucking company handling mostly local pickup and delivery of air freight shipments.  We are seeking an office assistant / customer service representative to work part time, Monday through Friday starting at 8am daily for approximately 20 to 25 hours per week.  This is a front desk position utilizing our customized UNIX database system to provide customer and staff support.



Duties:

* Serves customers by taking phone calls; answering questions; entering and confirming customer orders; keeping customers informed of order status; providing proof of delivery information.



* Supports management and office or warehouse staff by forwarding phone calls and/or messages; researching; providing backup paperwork copies.



* Assists in various aspects of the billing process i.e. organization of raw data; mailing out of weekly invoices; filing.



* Coordinates with dispatchers and drivers to ensure accuracy of order entry and order updates; provide answers to customer requests.



* Enhances organization reputation by taking on new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.



Skills/Qualifications:

Office Experience - General, Cheerful Telephone Presence, Typing 50+ wpm, Documentation Skills, Verbal Communication, Positive Attitude, Written Communication, Dependability, Organization Skills, Attention to Detail, Multitasking.

Experience with Truck Bills of Lading and Air Waybills while not required, would be a definite plus.
