Payroll Analyst / Accounts Payable

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 Ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time and payroll errors are kept to a minimum.  Rigorously documents issues and non-conformances.  Enters employee data adjustments in accordance with PTFs and other approved documents (i.e. W-4).  Ensures that payroll procedures are current and accurate by performing the following duties. Disbursements:  Ensure that all disbursements are accurate in amount and properly authorized, as per policy.  Disbursements must also be recorded accurately with respect to General Ledger classification and cost center coding.  Verifies PO document control is maintained. Fixed Assets:  Maintains the integrity of the Capital Asset records.  Ensures all source documentation exists to support acquisitions and disposals.  Updates for monthly depreciation and amortization.  Reports on capital asset acquisitions monthly. Vendors: Ensures that vendor contracts are maintained and secured.  Ensures that new vendor additions are pre-approved and with all requisite supporting information (i.e. Taxpayer identification number - TIN) in accordance with policy. Periodically verifies that vendor contracts are current, and alerts the Controller and appropriate manager(s) prior to contracts expiring.Replicon maintenance:  Assures that new employee hires, terminations and employee transfers are timely entered and maintained in accordance with approved PTFs.  Reviews and maintains consistency between Replicon and payroll records.

 

Job Qualifications and Requirements: Experience using ADP payroll software (version 5.0 or higher) and associated report writing tools. Experience with automated general ledger software. Solid understanding of Accounting practices, procedures, and internal controls. Solid analytical and critical thinking skills. Proficient with MS Office and MS Excel.Education and/or Experience  Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
