Payroll Specialist (Extensive problem-solving/Great location!)

What would you be doing?

In this position, you would handle either the bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll for approximately 800 employees. Your responsibilities would include:Maintaining the eTIME system (internal time-keeping system)
Taking phone calls from employees
Handling correspondence for employees regarding password information and the correcting of hourly issues
Troubleshooting payroll issues
Ensuring that employee hours are transmitted correctly to payroll softwareWhat?s so great about this job, anyway?

Payroll processing experience is required, as is experience in a high-volume environment. A working knowledge of mandates and other rules of payroll processing is essential. Experience with tax rates, labor laws and withholdings is required. CPP certification is strongly preferred, as are excellent grammar and spelling. Computer proficiency is a must. A degree with an emphasis in HR, Finance or Accounting is ideal.
