Personnel Administrator (CA/SA)

This position functions as a generalist in a variety of Human Resources activities in order to serve the San Antonio customer base. He/she coordinates with specialists in Human Resources/Personnel located at other facilities.

Responsibilities will include: Posting open positions on job boards and screening resumes and applications. Interview candidates and assisting managers with the hiring process. Working with managers on employee relations issues. Advising managers of labor laws and company policy. Conduct termination interviews, and providing feedback to management when necessary. Maintain records for EEO and affirmative action reporting requirements. Conduct New Hire Orientation. Be the first point of contact for employee questions on benefits. Assist in trouble shooting any issues.

Requirements:

Organization and Planning - Ability to organize and schedule people, tasks or resources to meet customer deliverables and time commitments.

Policy and Procedures - Ability to comply with existing policy and procedures.

Coping - Ability to maintain a mature, problem-solving attitude while dealing with interpersonal conflict, personal rejection, hostility, or time demands.

Spoken Communication - Ability to clearly present & understand information verbally.

Perceptivity - Able to interpret verbal and non-verbal behavior: to develop accurate perception and understanding of others? feelings, needs, values, and opinion; to be sensitive to and aware of personality differences and conflicts.

Job Specification (Specific Knowledge and Skills required for this position):Ability to effectively access all channels of communication: spoken, written, phone, fax, e-mail, and interpreters if needed and in a professional manner. Ability to use organization and time management skills. Ability to use a PC and various software applications. Ability to be detail oriented. Ability to be open minded in learning new skills and more efficient work methods. Ability to prioritize job tasks.



Work Direction/Management Scope: Normally receives no instruction on routine work. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other nonexempt personnel.

Education and Experience: EDUCATION: Bachelors degree, Human Resources preferred, Business Administration or comparable discipline EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience. KNOWLEDGE: Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel. SUPERVISION: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
