Planning Coordinator (Job Code PC01)

Prepares and issues production orders to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Coordinates material movement between stockroom and production areas. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed; confirms material supply and demands; prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule; coordinates interdepartmental activity with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Inventory Control; Assists management in resolving problems concerning shortages, engineering changes, and cancellation of orders. Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and above average proficiency with office computer systems and tools. Candidate must be knowledgeable with MRP planning systems. Flexible working hours and overtime may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship Required.
