Rochdale Investment Management is a private investment management firm with headquarters in New York and offices nationwide.  We invest globally for a client base of high net worth individuals as well as a family of mutual funds.  Our focus is on sound investment advice coupled with superior service to satisfy our client relationships.  This position is for our New York office.

 

As a Portfolio Strategy Assistant you will be responsible for a variety of activities including but not limited to:

 

?  Handle initial stages of the client proposal process including data entry and research on portfolio positions. 

?  Become familiar with and apply knowledge of Rochdale?s process in order to make judgments and assessments as to appropriate asset class category and other financial characteristics.

?  Interact with Investment Consultants and Financial Advisors as needed to gather the necessary information to complete the analysis.

?  Support team of Portfolio Strategy Analysts who prepare portfolio strategy, design and analysis, including developing and implementing customized portfolio solutions, for high net worth individuals.

?  Master the use and application of the technology used in the proposal and portfolio management process, including Rochdale?s proprietary asset allocation and portfolio analysis program, Morningstar Principia Pro, Advent Axys, and the Barra Aegis database.

?  Knowledge of financial concepts and securities including funds, stocks, bonds, and annuities

?  Experience with financial research tools including Bloomberg, Morningstar, and the internet

?  Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

?  Bachelor degree required, preferably in business or finance

?  CFA in process or desired
