Summary:

The primary function of the Production Assistant is to complete all copy and production jobs according to the originator's request and within their established deadline. This includes bulk or special copying, binding, drilling, folding and additional document preparation.

 

Essential Job Functions:Copy of documents for firm employees and clients in black/white and color. Use binding equipment to combine paperwork and documents in presentable format as requested and prepare other documents for presentations.Maintain clean and organized workspace, stock supplies and paper, and keep copy counts for each job.Communicate with employees regarding details of their job and project status.Assist with coordinating jobs or projects that are outsourced as approved by Production Supervisor. Assist in training new employees as needed.Perform other duties as requested by Production Supervisor and Facilities Director.

 

Knowledge and Skills:Extensive experience with Xerox 5690, Xerox 5900, Canon Imagerunner 550, Canon CLC1150, GBC comb, wire and velo binders or similar equipment.Must be detail and quality oriented and have the ability to multitask while maintaining excellent communication skills.Basic PC abilities to typeset tabs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time throughout the duration of the work day and be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to function in a fast paced work environment and maintain superior attention to details.Must be able to communicate with all levels of the Firm and provide excellent customer service.

 

Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.1-2 Years experience in copy center environment preferred.
