Production Control / Support

This position will support the factory production activities and will report to the Operations Manager.  Extensive interaction with shop staff as well as office staff is a key component of the daily role.  The factory produces aircraft assemblies in a one piece flow manner.  Production requirements are starting from 2 sets per week and planned to ramp up to 15 sets per week in 1-2 years.

 

Primary Responsibilities

?  Plan work releases to the shop based on current conditions

?  Data gathering and analysis related to labor hours and shipments

?  Production tracking and reporting including status reports, shortages, etc.

?  Continuously improve methods and practices

?  Using MS PowerPoint to create presentations

?  Using MS Excel to analyze data and create graphs

?  Using MS Word to create documents including instructions, summaries, etc.

?  Solve problems using input from various staff levels

?  Present reports to management and shop supervision

?  Create flow charts to document processes

?  Respond quickly to changes in priorities

?  Coordinate paperwork and parts to facilitate shipping and eliminate delays

?  Follow and implement Lean Manufacturing methods

?  Create PowerPoint presentations including inserted graphs, photos and text

?  Ability to stand and walk for long periods on the shop floor

?  Strong verbal and written English skills are essential

?  Work schedule will require periodic overtime after hours and/or occasional Saturdays

?  Ability to work independently given brief instructions

?  Type at least 25 words per minute

?  Associates Degree or higher

?  Prior production experience is a plus

?  Assist in implementing Lean Manufacturing methods
