The IT Purchasing department is responsible for:

o??????? Providing responsive service to business requests

o??????? Determining needs of the business and providing the best products available for the lowest cost

o??????? Communicating with business customers to confirm satisfaction of products delivered

o??????? Ensuring proper A/P coding of invoices

o??????? Validating approvals for purchases and invoices

o??????? Maintaining cross check against established budgets

The Purchasing Assistant position responsibilities include:

o??????? Processing check requests according to policies and procedures

o??????? Processing hardware/software requests

o??????? General filing, mail sorting and clerical

o??????? Reviewing invoices for accuracy

o??????? Package receiving and distribution of computer equipment and/or software, checking packing slips for accuracy

Individuals in this position must possess:

-????????? Some college and/or college degree preferred

-????????? Some experience in finance, accounting or business administration, specifically office supply, facility support, purchasing

-????????? Proficient working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

-????????? Access and Power point, a plus

-????????? Good data entry skills

-????????? Ability to follow time lines, ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects

-????????? Excellent verbal and written communications

-????????? Ability to demonstrate independent judgment in the processing of work after training

-????????? Be 'Service Oriented', reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated, on-time, accountable and security conscious
