Purchasing ? Merchandising Assistant

 

Various tasks in the purchasing department include: fax and expedite purchase orders, contact vendors regarding status of orders, schedule and receive incoming freight, coordinate with warehouse.  Most important is customer contact providing information and complete customer satisfaction. 

 

Merchandising tasks include grouping items on sales floor to create an inviting, visually appealing environment for our customer?s shopping pleasure, coordinate placement of new merchandise and periodic physical inventories of furniture and accessories.

 

Will work directly with senior management and handle various administrative organizational tasks.  Will also handle various general clerical duties such as phones, mail, customer service relief, etc.

 

Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills, computer savvy, proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook. Must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Some experience in a purchasing department, or accounting department with purchase order responsibilities desired.  Applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
