This is a entry level Administrative Assistant, providing support for 2-3 Section Heads and their Product Development sections. The organization is a new department within Personal Beauty Care which is supporting all Gillette New Business Development (NBD) Research & Development (R&D) work in Cincinnati.  All administrative duties for the R&D group including department budget tracking, equipment and office supply procurement, management of personnel processes (e.g. personnel records, absence and vacation tracking), calendar management & meeting scheduling, communications with senior management and external companies, travel planning & expense reports, and coordination of the integration of Gillette people who will be moving from Boston to Cincinnati.  Other duties will include Computer Security contact for the department, managing office equipment, and event planning.  The organization is growing quickly, so work environment is constantly evolving and required exceptional flexibility and a willingness to embrace new situations and tasks.  The job definition will expand as the organization continues to grow and this person will be asked to facilitate the transition of the new Gillette employees to P&G systems.



Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED or equivalent education.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to be a "self-starter", i.e., able to identify, define, and handle projects without requiring direction from the their manager(s). The role requires 1) solid oral and written communications skills; 2) the ability to effectively and professionally work with a diverse group of people including vendors, Costa Rica, R&D employees and administrators; 3) thoroughness and attention to detail; 4) the ability to handle confidential information; 5) agility and adaptability.  Given the nature of the work, the team will rely heavily on this individual to completely handle the projects and workload.  All typical administrative IT-based skills are needed, e.g., proficiency with all Microsoft programs as well as being highly skilled in creating PowerPoint presentations, and website management.
