  POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

Position Title:  Receptionist

HR Req#: TEL-042

Department:  Las Vegas Telemarketing Office

FLSA Designation:  Non-Exempt

Pay Grade: N3

Date Written/Revised: 3/04

 POSITION PURPOSE

To courteously handle incoming telephone calls and greet customers, vendors, guests and employees in a manner that will promote the highest level of customer service while also providing administrative support to Executive Office.

 

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

? Provides the highest level of quality service to our customers, vendors, guests and employees.

? Demonstrates excellent interpersonal communication skills and confidentiality in handling incoming telephone calls, directs/transfers callers to appropriate party and takes messages as needed

? Coordinates all incoming and outgoing mail including postage and distribution

? Coordinates employee appointments with various management team members, as needed

? Organizes and maintains orderly filing system and record-keeping per established guidelines

? Put guests on the DNC call list that request to be put on the DNC list.

? Disposition guests that call in and are not interested in a package as ?not interested? in the system.

? Performs other general clerical/administrative office duties as required including faxing and photocopying.

? Carries out a reasonable request by management of which the employee is capable of performing.

 

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

? High School Graduate or equivalent

? High level of integrity with ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information

? Minimum 1 year experience in administrative role

? Demonstrated ability and experience to operate a multi-line switchboard while maintaining a professional and personable attitude.

? Professional appearance and demeanor

? Strong ability to multitask

?  Computer literate
