Records Examiner/Analyst with OPR/ICE

Forfeiture Support Associates (FSA), a government contractor in support of the Asset Forfeiture Program of the U.S. Departments of Justice and Homeland Security, has an opening located at the Office of Professional Responsibility, Bureau of Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (OPR/ICE), Long Beach, CA.

 

Records Examiner/Analyst

 

The Records Examiner/Analyst may serve as the Contractor?s supervisor in small offices. The Records Examiner/Analyst shall have the ability to:

 

? Prepare notices/advertisements

? Gather information and organize investigative packages

? Review data for completeness of information from multiple sources (investigative agencies databases and financial records such as bank statements, property records and tax records). Reconcile inconsistencies

? Assist lead analyst or official in obtaining/collecting all documents/information to complete case file

? Establish case/project files. Establish/maintain physical file

? Conducts validation and verification of case files and case tracking system

? Maintain internal status information on the disposition of all forfeited assets

? Assure information is accurate and perform analytical computations necessary to process data

? Conduct and reconcile inventories

? Receive, suspense petitions, claims, process sharing requests

? Prepare declarations

? Provide administrative information and assistance concerning case to other investigative agencies, local law enforcement agencies, US Attorney, and other DOJ processing units, and higher headquarters

? Enter and retrieve data from data bases to prepare management and program reports

? Create and manipulate spreadsheets

? Prepare and correct reports and correspondence relevant to case documentation using word processing software

 

A Records Examiner/Analyst must have one year?s experience in a field related to law enforcement. Must possess a demonstrated ability to analyze documents to extract information. Attention to detail, the ability to read and follow directions, good oral and written communications skills are highly desirable. Bachelor?s degree preferred but not required. Candidates must be United States citizens. This position requires a 7 year minimum background investigation.

 

? Pay Rate: $22.15/hr which equates to $46,072.00 annually

? Location: Long Beach, CA

? Closing Date: 8/31/06
