Who is our ideal candidate?

The successful individual will be a team player; will have demonstrated the ability to manage effectively through systems and processes, to take a strategic big picture approach, and to do so with uncompromising integrity and a strong work ethic. The Registration Supervisor must demonstrate a willingness to deal hands on" with issues ranging from administrative to complex. This individual must have a proactive style and a strategic sense that will ensure credibility with the Operations team management, as well as the customers we support. Education Credentials: * Undergraduate degree in Business Management, Finance and/or Operations Management * Management/Technical Experience: * At least 2-3 years experience in Web CRD/IARD * Series 7 and 24 registered preferred * Excellent leadership and performance management skills * Strong knowledge in Regulatory and SRO policies and procedures
What are the job responsibilities?
The Registration Supervisor reports to the Head of Licensing and Registration of ING Advisors Network (IAN) and has oversight responsibilities for members of the team.
The position supports prompt and accurate delivery of securities registration services to the two broker dealers supported by IAN in El Segundo. The position will help ensure the staff is motivated, customer centric, and consistently executing defined processes and procedures. The Supervisor will work most closely with direct reports and will assist in their development. Specific Responsibilities:
* Ensure the registration department consistently delivers the highest level of customer service and exudes a customer-centric culture
* Position is responsible for supervising the daily activities of the Registration department including: registration, termination, NASD testing, and continuing education functions
* Ensure requests and calls are taken and responded to within standards
* Provide backup to department as needed
* Report to management on number of reps, NASD registered, weekly and monthly
* Perform other duties as required
* Identify system and process enhancements to increase efficiency and ensure accuracy
* Define service metrics and implement process for measurement and reporting
* Implement new procedures, as appropriate.
* Develop relationships with BD staff and management
* Communicate and work effectively with IAN and BD management
* Participate on strategic initiatives as they relate to Registration.
