Rental Coordinator

Since 1960 Garrison Service Company has grown into a mid sized, multi-branch company located in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. With a primary business focus on providing innovative distribution solutions through its vast offerings of Material handling and Overhead Conveyance products.

Hours of operation for all locations are from 7 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday.

 

Currently there is an opening at Garrison Toyota Material Handling's Nashville location for a Rental Coordinator. Below is the job description. Punctuality and attendance is critical in the position.

 

Job Title: Rental Coordinator

 

Department/Location: Rental/GTMH Nashville

 

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

 

Reports To:  Director of Operations

 

Supervises:  None

 

General Purpose of the Position:

 

Satisfy customer?s rental demands while effectively managing rental fleet.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1.  Provide up to date information about physical location of rental equipment.

2.  Maintain files for rental contracts. Attach rental safety sheet to each rental contract and file signed copy with rental contract.

3.  Insure each piece of rental equipment offers acceptable appearance, proper decals, proper identification numbers, and adequate safety equipment.

4.  Maintain maintenance at 24% of sales.

5.  Insure monthly billing of each rental unit. Record hour meter readings and excess overtime charges.

6.  Evaluate monthly expense and income information and remedy non-profitable problems.

7.  Be familiar with the activities of competition and market conditions.

8.  Establish and maintain system for orderly retirement and replacement of rental equipment.

9.  Accumulate Lost Order data and recommend additional quantities or types of equipment as needed.

10.  Monitor full maintenance contracts and accumulate data:

a. Assist with quotations

b.  Alert customer to possible misuse

c. Insure billing is to correct account (warranty, rework, customer, etc)

11.  Monthly marketing of previous months new customers.

12.  Design and distribute flyers to introduce new products and services.

 All Departments / All GTMH Branches

 

Skills and Abilities Required:

 

Good Verbal & Written Skills.

All Verbal and Written Communication must be done in the English Language.

Strong Organizational & Time Management Skills.

Knowledge of PC or IBM based Computers / Keyboard.

Working Knowledge of Windows / Word / Excel. NDS / DCS or like Software Helpful.

Ability to use Keypad or Calculator for numerical Calculations.

Deductive Reasoning (General to Specific).

 

 

 

Education and Experience Required:

 

High School Diploma or Equivalent

2 to 3 years experience in Customer Service
