Gerhart - an ISO 9002 Company - has evolved into a diverse company providing field service and turnkey installations of industrial weighing equipment, process instrumentation and process automation.  Our work revolves around the testing, repair, and installation of industrial weighing equipment, instrumentation, automation and control equipment.  Most of our work is performed by technicians, in the field, at our customers? facilities.

 

Gerhart has an immediate opening for a Service Coordinator / Administrator to assist the Area Service Manager.  This position is in our Allentown, PA facility.

 

Successful Candidate will be a multi-tasker who can time manage a busy day, everyday, and stay one step ahead of everybody else.  Organization and efficiency a must.

 

Required Abilities and Daily Job Requirements:

 

--Multi-Task many duties without error.

 

--Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and technicians.

 

--Answer Incoming phone calls.

 

--Keep several databases up-to-date and accurate.

 

--Maintain organized file systems for invoices, purchase orders, contracts, certifications, etc.

 

--Work with the Service Manager to schedule jobs and maintain a documented job schedule.

 

--Work with the Service Manager to assign technicians to jobs and keep them moving efficiently.

 

--Contact Customers regarding job status.

 

--Prepare customer invoices and handle invoice questions from customers.

 

--Place parts orders and track shipments.

 

--Track In-House Customer Repairs.

 

--Prepare all field documentation needed for the service department.

 

--Perform Shipping and Receiving duties.

 

--Should be able to lift 20lb boxes occasionally while checking in daily frelght

 

--Ability to operate a forklift is a plus but not required.

 

--Prioritize events and switch focus rapidly.

 

--Must be computer literate and well organized
