STAFF ANALYST TRAINEE

MAJOR RESPONSIBLILITES: Under supervision, with some latitude for independent judgement, receives training and assists in professional and technical work for the Brooklyn borough office. Help conduct surveys and studies, in collecting and analyzing data for the Operations division and in making recommendations for improved efficiency. Maintain tracking database and produce reports for the Operations division. Train and assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of agency personnel administration activities. Work closely with the borough Commissioner, the Chief of Operations and the Deputy Chiefs of Operations. Assist in the review of departmental fiscal requests and staffing proposals, the use of statistical analyses and making recommendations by the use of cost effectiveness techniques.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college. New York City Residency Required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Strong analytical and statistical experience. Proficiency in Access, Excel and Word. Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Valid New York State driver license.
