Safety and Security Associate

Southern States Cooperative, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Safety and Security Associate at it's corporate office in Richmond, Virginia. Responsibilities include; Receiveing all telephone calls, visitors, and incoming mail; Answers routine inquiries not requiring decision of supervisor and routes technical inquiries to the proper person; Updates and maintains Material Safety Data Sheet retrieval system and maintains and summarizes data on other subjects as requested; Handles emergency calls from various sources to provide necessary assistance in the absence of supervisor.

 

This position requires a High School degree with minimum 1-year administrative experience. Must have initiative to work independently and handle responsibility of providing immediate assistance in emergency situations. Must be able to handle confidential information discreetly and efficiently. Excellent written and verbal communications and strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access required. Knowledge of JD Edwards and One World applications helpful.
