About The Opportunity
Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities


1. Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set forth in Vencor?s Code of Business Conduct, Vencor policy and procedures, applicable federal and state laws and applicable professional standards.
2. Answers phone, makes calls, takes messages.
3. Schedules examinations.
4. Files reports in jackets. Refiles jackets.
5. Types needed material.
6. Updates file cards.
7. Signs films out of Department. Puts returned files away.
8. Report tracking.
9. Stocks office supplies.
10. Greets patients, answers questions or directs to appropriate person to answer questions.
11. Pulls films and reports for Quality assessment program weekly.
12. Tracks films loaned out to physicians/hospitals until located and returned.
13. Calls/faxes reports to physician?s offices.
14. Maintains confidentiality.
15. Prepares schedule sheets, jackets and file cards for next day.
16. Fax tracking/troubleshooting.
17. Participates in the Hazardous Material Program. Hazards include exposure to blood and body fluids, possible communicable diseases, sharp objects and instruments, assorted chemicals and gases as listed in the Hazardous Materials Program Manual.
18. Develops an understanding of responsibilities for participation in QI activities.

Qualifications

? Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
? Preferred up to 18 months of education or training beyond the high school level in office skills.
? Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
? Organizational ability, communication skills, interpersonal skills
? Typing/computer skills preferred.
