Responsibilities: Ensures strict adherence to the provisions of the NSA/CSS 3-16, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), CCEP Endorsement Program manuals, and NSA specifications and supplements.

Implement and enforce proper control and accountability of Comsec material to include In-process and traditional Comsec Accounts. Maintain In-Process Procedures and Comsec Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) specific to ViaSat?s unique Comsec program requirements. Ensure procedures are properly approved by supervisor and program management, as well as by the appropriate customer security office.

Support all aspects of Comsec Program to include: safeguarding, receipt, custody, dispatch, storage, and destruction of Comsec products and keying material.

Ensure Comsec Labs and approved work areas remain in compliance with Comsec regulations.
nterface closely with Government Agencies, Program Management, Contracts and Marketing Personnel to ensure compliance with Comsec regulations during product development, design, sales and certification process. Provide administrative support for NSA certification and endorsement of cryptographic items.

Maintain up-to-date records and submit as appropriate, all required accounting reports. This includes, but is not limited to, transaction records, reconciliation?s, In-Process Accounting Procedures for all programs, Master disposition Records, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Conduct inventories and reconciliation?s of ViaSat?s traditional and in-process accounts as prescribed in the Comsec Annex to the NISPOM and in accordance with approved In-Process Procedures.

Assist with coordination of customer demonstrations and/or testing, and all overseas shipments of Comsec material.

Requirements: Candidate must have High School Diploma or equivalent. Requires a minimum of five years clerical experience with at least three years in a government security environment, additional courses in government security preferred. Experience with classified documents and related functions. One to three years experience with handling Comsec equipment, materials and information; and interpreting program policies and manuals. Demonstrated understanding and proven application of security principles, concepts and practices. Completion of Comsec Custodian Training Course (ND-112). Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance. Well versed in NSA/CSS-3/16 & National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Possess interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of individuals. U.S. Citizen required.
